Liga Prajurit Page 24-35 Update
Finally, this has been long overdue.
I hope it's worth the wait, enjoy!
You may notice that some pages seem very empty. This is either because I really have no idea WHAT to put there or where to put any sort of backgrounds sometimes.. I guess I still haven't fully grasped the establishing shot thing which I hoped to have worked but I guess I overdone it.
Another thing is that I've been having consistencies problem while doing these pages. Reason being is that I stopped for a very long time since the second part (13-23 pages) and during that time, I did not only improved a lot in terms of technical and compositioning but even simplifying the faces and the designs as well. This is very noticeable in the early pages that were much more detailed and I wish to fix them after finishing the last pages of the comic. The simplification not only helps in giving a much smoother look but it also helps in drawing the characters with much faster speed and I really want to do these pages fast.
I will rework on these noticeably awkward pages but as for now, hope you'll still be able to enjoy the works so far. Thank you!

Closing a chapter, opening a new one
I just realized I haven't updated on the degree show I was in.
So just yesterday, was officially the end of my degree studies. There was a degree show showcasing our works and it went well enough. Couldn't be happier. Although now opens a new chapter in life in the real world. I am both excited and anxious but regardless of what the unknown future that could hold, I must and will always remember the will to learn. As my friend told me, little steps towards my goal.
As for now, I will post pics and works done for my final year degree.
Through these works, I try to reiimagine history what happens if the Nusantara was never colonized; a utopia. Due to the limitation of time, I limit the subject through the exploration of fictional, futuristic past air ships.
What I'm trying to share is not just the wicked designs but my inspiration towards the subject of history. Although the very core of why I created these works was that I wished to find ways to take it in the form of fantastic art or in other words, fantasy/sci-fi approach. Being more specific, the Hayao Miyazaki approach.
Miyazaki's combination of both local culture and contemporary fantastic art approach has influenced me greatly in making these works not only in terms of visual but also intellectually. It is that sort of balance that I've been trying to find so that a wide audience could enjoy but still haven't found yet.
And because of that, I intend to continue this project as a second comic in the future. During the whole course of creating these paintings, I've already finished drafting the main storyline, characters, locations and designs. All that's left is executing it.
First Painting,
Fourth Painting,
Painting bros,
I would also like this opportunity to thank my dudes and dudettes, from every department (too many to list down - sorry gents and ladies!), in not only helping me in realizing these works but also maturing me in becoming a better painter as well as a better person because I would not have made it this far without their help.
That also goes for my lecturers and seniors who have lended a hand despite of how busy this semester was.. and believe me, this semester was chaotic. ;) and not to mention my parents and family who have supported me in pursuing my goals.
Thank you.

attack on final semester and kyojins
had enough free time only to just to draw something that isnt related to work or anything, just to draw stuff because i can
been watching kyojin, and for not long, fanarts of the anime sprung out everywhere on my facebook wall
to contribute myself, gonna draw something but without the unique 3d maneuver gear because thatll be too easy (lol)
what i was interested more, in both analytical and humorous manner, is the way the manga/anime itself is drawn. i like it a lot and even though the rough lines on the work and the character's facial expressions really do function well together, i always had thoughts on applying it on everything else just for lulz
Sorry for lacking comic updates still even after this long. Am dealing with the very few last weeks of final semester degree show/dinner/last final paintings/minor/every other cranky work, so haven't able to do much.
I've also done half of the current final project and would probably post them up later.
Still, hope ya'll stay tuned and enjoy!

Progress this week
There have been slight development in both the first and second paintings as I am currently more interested in finishing the third one because it's fairly larger than the first two.
There isn't any relatively new changes with the first work. Although, here is an example of what had developed in the second painting, (I hope the flash isn't too distracting but this is the only way to get accurate colours with it)
The third one is a bit tricky. It's half done but I can't take a picture yet because the painting is ridiculously long (the painting is only about 5 by 9 feet long, but 14 feet in length as a full-length scroll) and it'll be a hassle just trying to take a picture of it.
The other half of that third painting is this sketch in which will be drawn on it later. It was done as a sketch first to tackle those tricky perspective problems so I had to make sure it looks right before moving on to the larger scale.
If there are any noticable mistakes or if you have ideas on how to make it look better, please don't shy away from pointing it out!
